Karloff had originally wanted a career in the diplomatic service, but he instead became. One of Hollywood’s most frightening actors. He starred as the monster in the original Frankenstein. A role that had been turned down by Bela Lugosi. Karloff, who also scared the daylights out of movie-goers in the films The Mummy (1932) and The Ghoul (1933). Also hosted and occasionally starred in the TV series. He gave one of the best of his many film performances in the 1968 Peter Bogdanovich film Targets. In which he virtually played himself – an aging star of horror movies. Lightly toned, silvered, creased and bowed. Parts of signature have low contrast, but it is still legible. Otherwise in fine condition. I had the privilege of helping support my Wife through Nursing School (RN), and then she went back and got her BACHELORS in NURSING, and now she JUST FINISHED SCHOOL with a MASTERS in NURSING and she is NOW A NURSE PRACTITIONER! SHE JUST STARTED HER NEW JOB ONLY MONTHS AGO in the Pain Clinic that ironically I have been visiting and helped by for the last 20 years! I have had (16) Knee Surgeries, (2) Total Knee Replacements, a Shoulder, I get quarterly epidural Injections in my Back AND in my NECK, and I have to do Annual Radio Frequency Ablation Procedures on my Back Nerve Bundles – BOTH SIDES. I have been saving up my monies – but I have a LONG WAY TO GO! I want to do something she will NEVER FORGET!
